Veera Rislachius (b.1993, Isokyrö) is a Finnish contemporary artist, working with wide range of materials and mediums. Rislachius captivates the viewer with her straightforward style, while playfully studying symbolism and old proverbs.
As an curious explorer of the thoughts and philosophies, Rislachius invites the viewers to reflect and engage with her works - while still leaving open, unanswered questions to reflect on.
The visual arts organisation Jakarte celebrates 75 years of artistic engagement in Jakobstad! In connection with the anniversary, the association invites you to an annual exhibition in the city centre, where contemporary works by local artists take centre stage.
The exhibition includes works by almost 40 artists.
The opening ceremony will be held on 18 July at 6 pm with a speech by Ingela Bodbacka-Rak and President Alexandra Furubacka.
