In Mizpah, viewers walked through curtains that felt like soft touch; stepping inside of a corridor, leading them to an isolated, quiet, and dimly lighted room. The telephone connection was open, and the viewer could choose the desired number to call. When speaking into the phone, the caller received a response: a soft, whisper-like voice whose words were unclear, but which was clearly recognisable as being spoken by another person.
